Vehicle & Delivery Policy

1. Company Vehicle

KangaByte operates one company vehicle: a 2021 Toyota HiAce (White, Registration: KB-DEL) for deliveries and client pickups.

2. Eligibility to Drive

  • Must hold a current Australian full driver's licence
  • Must be over 25 years of age
  • No major traffic offences in the past 3 years
  • Must complete the KangaByte Vehicle Induction
  • Name must be added to the company insurance policy

3. Using the Company Vehicle

  • Book via the shared calendar — "KB-DEL Calendar"
  • Perform a pre-trip check: tyres, lights, oil, fuel, cleanliness
  • Sign out the keys from the key safe
  • Do NOT use for personal errands
  • No smoking, eating/drinking (water excepted) in the vehicle

4. Delivery Procedures

  1. Check the Delivery Manifest
  2. Secure all devices in padded transit cases
  3. Follow the most efficient route
  4. Get a signature on delivery
  5. Return to store and log the completed delivery

5. Accidents & Incidents

In case of accident: Ensure everyone is safe → Call 000 if injuries → Exchange details → Take photos → Call Ben Wallace immediately → Complete Accident Report within 24 hours. Do NOT admit fault at the scene.

6. Vehicle Maintenance

  • Service every 10,000 km or 6 months
  • Fuel card is in the glovebox — PIN in the key safe
  • Report warning lights or unusual noises immediately
  • Keep clean — exterior wash weekly, interior vacuumed after each use
